Photos with a photo credit but without the words "used by permission" are believed to be in the public domain.
Photos without a photo credit were probably taken by Jess Stryker, and are copyrighted by Jess Stryker. See below for conditions for reproduction.
Photos that are labeled "Copyright Jess Stryker", or something similar, are copyrighted by Jess Stryker. See below for conditions for reproduction.
Students: Permission is hereby granted for student use of any photo taken by Jess Stryker, provided the photo is used on a non-profit school/class project that will not be published on the Internet. The photo may not have any recognizable persons in it, you may blur faces to make them unrecognizable. When using these photos you must include a photo credit or bibliography entry stating that the photo was taken by "Jess Stryker", the source of the photo is "JessStryker.com" or "JStryker.com", whichever you found the photo on, and that the photo is copyrighted and "used by permission". Your instructor can help you with the proper form for the photo credit or bibliography entry. If you wish to post the photos on the Internet please follow the instructions for Commercial Use below.
Commercial Use of Photos: I will generally grant permission for non-exclusive, commercial use of most of my photos. Email me (my name is Jess Stryker) for permission to use the photo. If approved I will provide a simple email message to you granting you permission for use of the photo. In exchange for the photo use I require that you provide a link to my website, and you will need to also include a standard photo credit and copyright notice on or under the photo when you use it. The link to my website must be on a page in your website's directory tree. Both the link and the page it is on must be visible and followable by both humans and web robots. In some cases I will allow the link to be on a different website from the photo, obviously if you are using the photo for a print publication this would be the case! If you wish to put the link on a different website please provide the website's URL in your email requesting permission to use the photo. A website that serves primarily as a link directory or that is part of a link exchange scheme is not acceptable.
Release forms: If you have a standard release form you wish me to sign, include it for my review. I will not sign any release that shifts liability unfairly toward me, such as many "hold harmless" clauses. If your release form has a lot of fine print and you don't have authority to negotiate those terms, please don't waste your time, or mine, by sending it.
NOTE: Some of the photos were taken at locations where there could be privacy issues and the need for releases. Generally I can not give permission for use of any photo with a recognizable person in it, or a photo taken inside a private building. By use of the photo you agree to be responsible for obtaining permission for obtaining any required releases from the proper person or building owner and paying any related fees.
